Holiday Gift Giving For Entrepreneurs and Virtual Teams

As the year winds down and we reflect on 2020, for many of us, this year has been a test of flexibility and perseverance.

While for some, this year has been filled with inconvenience, for many it will be remembered as one of the most difficult years of their lives.

Whenever things get really tough or I need a personal reset, I lean back on a few key practices. One of the most important key practices I lean on is gratitude.

With the highs, lows, and everything in between of building a business, I always try to take a step back and remain grateful. When I practice staying in a place of gratitude, I am ultimately reminded of what makes my business so great: the people. Whether it’s my clients or my much-loved team members, the people are what keeps me going on those inevitably tough days.

So, how fun is it that I get to gift those that are such a gift to me?

I wanted to share with you my process of holiday gift giving and some fun gift ideas for your clients or team members!

How I approach gift-giving for my clients and my team varies because while I love a small, physical token to show my appreciation, for some people, other things will have a bigger impact.

When I first start with a client and their team, I like to get a sense of how they prefer to receive feedback. I make it a point to learn, through conversation or a quiz, the way they best receive appreciation and motivation.

So what are some of my favorite gifts to send to team members and clients over the holidays to show my gratitude?

Handwritten card

Don’t underestimate the power of a handwritten card. Your sincere gratitude will be appreciated no matter who the recipient is!

Donate to their favorite charity

People care deeply about the charities they support. The effort you make in finding and donating to the charities that are most meaningful to them will certainly have a ripple effect beyond your relationship.

Business Books

Being an entrepreneur is one of the biggest journeys of personal growth you can embark on! And we all need lessons and guidance along the way. Whether it’s starting a new podcast, hitting a new revenue goal, or launching a new product, there is certain to be a book that will help and inspire! Here are some of my 2020 favorites:

How to Start a Binge Worthy Podcast by Krystal Proffitt

From 6 to 7 Figures by Austin Netzley

Leaders Eat Last by Simon Sinek

And don’t forget you can also gift a tireless entrepreneur with a non-work-related book to remind them of the importance of rest and recharging! A gift certificate to Audible would be perfect too!

Biz Swag

There are so many fun gifts that any business owner would love. Here are some of my favorites!

Mug warmer

“Been There Delegated That” Mug

Do Less Planner

Gift Boxes

There are some fantastic small businesses on Etsy that make gift boxes based on almost any theme you can imagine! You’re sure to find something any entrepreneur would love. I’ve also sent boxes from local small businesses that include local favorites to make the box more personal.

BoxFox and Greetabl are also fun options that I’ve used and loved.

Biz Goodies

It’s no secret that my favorite project management tool is ClickUp. It can be customized and automated based on the team’s needs and preferences more than any other system I’ve worked with. But in the interest of saving time and money, templates can be a worthwhile investment.

I love personable, helpful, and inspiring gifts for those that inspire me along my business journey.

Profits, revenue, and growth have their extremely important place in our entrepreneurial journeys, but let’s not forget to remain grateful for those who have walked beside us, supported us, and ultimately helped us grow along the way.
